Hi, my name is Chidinma O. I am an experienced and compassionate female home carer with over three years of experience in hourly and overnight care. My aim is to help individuals with different needs to lead independent and fulfilling lives. I possess a number of key attributes that make me an excellent carer that clients can rely on. For example, I am caring, friendly and always willing to help with tasks that may seem difficult for my clients.
One of the reasons why I love being a home carer is the joy that comes from making a significant impact on the lives of others. Stimulating clients' independence and helping them achieve their goals are strong motivating factors in my work. I am also an excellent driver with no major incidents or tickets on my driving record. Although I do not have a car, I have access to reliable transportation options that allow me to easily get to my clients.
My skills and experience make me an ideal carer for individuals with mild cognitive impairment, mobility difficulties, Parkinson's disease, anxiety, and depression. I am adept at performing tasks such as bathing, toileting, assisting with dressing, catheter care, and companionship. In addition to my caregiving skills, I enjoy painting, walking, dancing, card games and puzzles during my spare time. Lastly, I am comfortable with pets such as cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, and turtles.
